Sunday in Milwaukee

Grandma Patty rode the train to Milwaukee yesterday to stay with us for the week before school starts again. We decided to make a day of it when we went down to pick her up. We also thought it was the perfect day to bust out the plaid boy shorts I had bought for Morgan so she could match Jamie. They are still a little big, most of her 12 month shorts/skirts still hang on her. I tried to girl up her outfit a little with some flowers on her shirt and a headband. She pulled it off!

We ate lunch at PF Changs, Morgan practiced with her chop sticks... or rocked out with her drum sticks whichever you prefer.

Morgan's First Parade

We took Morgan to her first parade today in Howard's Grove.

Our favorite entry, the local boy scout troop was pulled by this truck. Any club that mounts a turkey and duck decoys to a vehicle for a parade is a pretty cool organization. They also threw bobbers instead of candy - gotta love Wisconsin!!

Morgan doesn't eat candy but people saw her and threw tons of candy for her. Jamie did share a popsicle with her, she wasn't so sure about the cold at first but once she got a taste for it she wanted more. I uploaded a short video of her eating the popsicle.

Pool Party!

We decided to take advantage of the warm sunny weather on Saturday, so we went swimming with Joe & Jes - Morgan loved it! She even played a little basketball. The size of the ball didn't intimidate her...she still tried to fit it in her mouth and chew on it between shots.

Big Girls Eat Peaches

Morgan ate peaches for the first time. We cut them up into little pieces and she gobbled them right down...well the ones she didn't smear on her dress or throw on the floor.
